Best weapon and Armor for my assassin?
Well i've looked at a few builds but i wanted opnions from other people.
What's the best armor that i can buy for assassins, (Where can i get it? What town/city) The best daggers (In your opinion), a name would really help so i can look for it? Thanks. Even though it's going to be highly priced of course i still want to know the name and location for the armor/weapon. Last edited by Jessit; Nov 08, 2007 at 11:08 PM // 23:08.. |

for armor, i believe that it is 70 armor for sins, and you can get that in areas around Kaineng Center. (http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Assassin_armor) i think you mean insignias, and for those, it really depends on your build - some times radiant, sometimes others.
i think that the best daggers are zealous 15^50 +30 health. a green version of these are ceremonial daggers ( http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Ceremon...unique_item%29 ), although there is one other that has the same stats but different skin called Everthorn's Chakrams. also, vampiric and elemental 15^50 +30 health are also some to consider. Armor from Kaineng City, pick a skin you like. Add +health insignias to it (from the rune trader), buy a minor dagger rune, minor critical master, and the highest vigor rune you can afford (sup if possible). The other two runes should be vitae or minor shadow/deadly arts.
For a weapon, get any daggers that are 15^50, vampiric (make sure to have a set to switch to when you aren't in combat), and +30. (http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Chkkr%27s_Pincers or Stygian Daggers or Faveo's daggers or Shiro's BladeS (PLURAL) are good green options). Good luck! |

Hmm...
I chose max armor with + health, but some people like the + armor when attacking. They think if you are not attacking, you shouldn't be in any danger (teleport away from the battle). It makes very good sense. Zelous Daggers are my preference, and I do Cerimonal Daggers (end game green). Until then, use the daggers that will benefit you the most. I had + damage when enchanted (I created an A/Mo). Then I found + damage vs Hexed Foes (then I changed to A/N). Now that I have my CD, I changed to A/W (using Wild Blow for extra energy gain). |

Full set of 70 armor with Radiant insignia, critical strike headgear, minor critical on head, minor dagger mastery on wrist, superior rune on feet, and on chest and leg, use +armor or attunement runes.

Or, you could say Obsidian is the best (from the Fissure of Woe), since it costs the most. But, it doesn't work any better or differently. As far as Insignias and Runes go, you need to go with what best suits the build, so it's hard to recommend anything specific. Quote:
Many Assassin builds are energy intensive and people use Zealous daggers with them (I've never been a big fan of Zealous weapons myself). There are also some combo builds that make use of elemental damage. And, Sundering or Vampiric are good all-round choices. |

There's no best armor. If by best you mean max, then you can get it the earliest at Kaineng Center. But, you can also get armor with the same AL at House zu Heltzer, Cavalon, Vasburg Armory, Leviathan Pits, and Divine Path. It's just up to you which skin you like the most. As for insignias, assassins tend to use full sets of Radiant or Survivor.. I personally don't like Nightstalkers.

For the sin, the armor and daggers you choose depend too much on your build and play style to have just one answer.
For playing through the storyline with heroes/henchmen I liked the nightstalker armor and vampiric blades (got a pair of Shiro's in my first visit to KC and used them through all three campaigns - the +3 health was really nice on a death blossom hit in the middle of 5 or six enemies). But that was because with H/H I could just attack and not have to worry about any damage I was taking because my monks would heal me up. (I know, you are not supposed to tank as a sin but sometimes those Henchies are pretty flaky and you have no choice) For solo farming I find myself relying more and more on radiant armor with +5 energy/zealous daggers of enchanting because I need to get in, get my attack chain off and still have enough energy for defense or escape. Best thing about being a sin though - daggers are some of the cheapest weapons in the game so you can have several pair and try out different combos to see what works. |
